Ultimate Adventure

Draxx anxiously waited in the Ultimate Adventure lounge. He hoped that Misty would arrive soon. He really needed to get in-game and drop off his package... but the dungeon he was supposed to meet his connection at, was not a nice place to be alone. He really needed Misty with him to get in safely.

According to the TOS for UA, players were not supposed to bring 3rd party code into the game. They had some rather sophisticated detection modules that would scan players for it. The Terms of Service stated, very clearly, that anyone caught bringing 3rd party software into the game would be permanently banned and subject to prosecution.

But Draxx was no slouch in the code department. Not many people knew it, but he was an old school hacker. He had made a private fortune from stealing data and selling it off. He could easily afford to be fully wired, and in fact, he was, but he preferred the old flat screen approach for runs like this. Fully wired people could be locked into the system by NetCops while Meat Agents kicked in their doors.

Draxx had a module that he would activate when entering the game. It would create a nice little shielded pouch that would allow him to smuggle data packets into the game. The pouch would be flagged as a "newbie" item and make it unlootable. Tonight, he was supposed to meet some folks in Desperation to make his delivery.

He checked the time again, 7:58. Misty should be here soon.
